The total length of the ANSCHÜTZ OBM48 sound moderator is 205 mm. In order to keep the length of your hunting rifle with screwed-on sound moderator as short as possible, 73 mm of the total length of the sound moderator is attached above the barrel. This lengthens your firearm with the sound moderator screwed on by only 132 mm.

2 of 2After a shot, the gases in the propellant charge expand and escape at the end of the barrel. A sound moderator inhibits this through various chambers and specially shaped structures. Our sound moderator OBM48 offers the hot, high-pressure gases flowing out of the muzzle a space in which the extremely high pressure can be reduced. When the gases escape from the sound moderator into the environment, the much lower pressure results in an audibly quieter bang. The more volume the sound moderator provides for this, the greater the expansion effect.
This achieves a significant reduction in the muzzle blast of up to 32-37 dB (decibels), depending on the caliber used. The volume ratio of the sound moderator also causes a frequency modulation, which makes the perceptible bang sound much duller. Another major advantage of our sound moderator is the clear and noticeable reduction in recoil and the almost complete elimination of visible muzzle flash.

Thread adapter - OBM48
Thread adapter and guide washer are fitted ex works. The thread adapter is suitable for barrel thread M15x1 and can be easily replaced with another thread adapter if required.
