The use of cheaper training ammunition does not normally affect the accuracy of competition ammunition. Before using competition ammunition, only the barrel should be cleaned thoroughly, as depending on the type of ammunition, cheaper training ammunition can soil the barrel more. This could possibly have an effect on the accuracy. Higher barrel wear is not to be expected by using training ammunition, except when using HV ammunition.
