How do I vent / drain a compressed air cylinder?

Procedural instruction for emptying the ANSCHÜTZ compressed air cylinders

First carefully read our operating instructions, which contain important information and notes. The operating instructions are also available for download on the Internet at www.anschuetz-sport.com. If you have any difficulties with the correct handling or safe use, please first contact ANSCHÜTZ or a competent specialist dealer.

Please then proceed as follows to empty the cartridges:
1. unload and to set the safety your air rifle according to the instructions in the user manual.

Make sure that no one is in the mouth area or in front of the pressure gauge.

3. detach the compressed air cylinder from your air rifle according to the instructions in the user manual.

Empty the cartridge using our air release screw (article 711.3408). To do this, slowly and steadily screw the air release screw onto the thread of the cartridge until air can be heard escaping. When no more air is audibly escaping and the pressure gauge shows "0", continue to slowly and completely unscrew the air release screw . Wait approx. 5 seconds after completely unscrewing the air release screw . This ensures that the cartridge is completely empty. Then unscrew air release screw from the cartridge.

If you are not in possession of a air release screw , you can purchase it from your specialist dealer or directly from ANSCHÜTZ GmbH & Co. KG.
