The serial number of my rifle is on the barrel and not on the receiver. Is that correct?

Yes. For about two years during the 1980s it was a legal requirement to put the serial number on the barrel.

The rifle serial number is always located on the receiver.

On air rifles from model 9015 upwards, this is always on the barrel (jacket).
