Since 2009 ANSCHÜTZ no longer sells match air pistols. We can recommend the air pistols from Steyr Sport as a perfect alternative. Air pistols are now only sold by our subsidiary, STEYR Sport GmbH in Austria.

The use of cheaper training ammunition does not normally affect the accuracy of competition ammunition. Only the barrel should be thoroughly cleaned before using competition ammunition, as cheaper training ammunition can cause the barrel to become more dirty, depending on the type of ammunition. Barrel wear in small bore shooting does not come from bullet abrasion but from the combustion of the powder. Therefore, the use of ammunition with copper-plated bullets is not a problem. Bullet abrasion can impair precision, so small bore barrels should also be cleaned of residues from time to time.
