The ANSCHÜTZ LaserPower models from version II as well as the versions Profiset with blue stock and/or the inscription "LaserLauf" and "LaserPower" are no longer subject to the prima facie weapon paragraph.
The following applies to LaserPower rifles of the first generation (version I with light wood stock):
Due to the new Weapons Act that came into force on April 1, 2008, ANSCHÜTZ received information in a letter from the BKA Wiesbaden dated May 15, 2008 that light or laser beam rifles fall under the "apparent weapon paragraph" according to § 42 a WaffG. The term "apparent weapon" is defined in points 1.6 ff of Annex 1 to Section 1, Paragraph 4 WaffG - Definitions - Section 1.
According to the letter we have received, the LaserPower rifle version I is therefore a prima facie weapon. This circumstance also affects the transport of the LaserPower rifles, i.e. it must be ensured that the transport is carried out exclusively in locked containers. It should also be noted that further restrictions apply to the use and carrying of LaserPower rifles as a result of their classification as a "prima facie weapon".
We recommend that if you have any questions in this regard, you contact your local firearms law enforcement agency and obtain approval for any planned events outside of shooting ranges.
